Calibration-Free Augmented Reality in Perspective
نویسندگان
چکیده
ÐThis paper deals with video-based augmented reality and proposes an algorithm for augmenting a real video sequence with views of graphics objects without metric calibration of the video camera by representing the motion of the video camera in projective space. A virtual camera, by which views of graphics objects are generated, is attached to a real camera by specifying image locations of the world coordinate system of the virtual world. The virtual camera is decomposed into calibration and motion components in order to make full use of graphics tools. The projective motion of the real camera recovered from image matches has the function of transferring the virtual camera and makes the virtual camera move according to the motion of the real camera. The virtual camera also follows the change of the internal parameters of the real camera. This paper shows the theoretical and experimental results of our application of nonmetric vision to augmented reality. متن کاملCalibration Method for an Augmented Reality System
In geometrical camera calibration, the objective is to determine a set of camera parameters that describe the mapping between 3D references coordinates and 2D image coordinates. In this paper, a technique of calibration and tracking based on both a least squares method is presented and a correlation technique developed as part of an augmented reality system. This approach is fast and it can be ...
متن کاملComprehensive Tracker Based Display Calibration for Holographic Optical See-Through Head-Mounted Display
A holographic display system is able to offer an immersive 3D experience with a controllable focus cue that matches the depth information of virtual content. Proper calibration of an OST-HMD must take into account the specific features of that HMD. Existing calibration methods, however, cannot fully capture the optical characteristics of holographic display systems. With the aid of tracking sys...

A calibration-free augmented reality based on affine invariant is firstly formulated by tensor method. This approach does not use the calibration parameters of the camera and the 3D locations of the environment’s object, and can realize the augmentation of virtual objects. Meanwhile, a new approach to resolving occlusion problem in augmented reality is presented. Based on an armoptimized implem...
